  Kevin Guiler was born and raised in Columbia , Maryland .

Kevin’s parents said that as young man, Kevin struggled to find his way into adulthood and some mistakes. When he decided to enlist, they were proud, scared, and anxious to see how he would fit into the structure of military service.

After joining the Army at age 20, he received his basic and advanced training at Fort Benning , Georgia . While in boot camp, he was recognized for his acumen with weapons and tactics. He continued to hone his skills during his first assignment in South Korea , where, he was recognized by his superiors for his leadership.

Kevin advanced in rank Specialist Fourth Class, and is currently assigned to the 1st  Infantry Division at Fort Riley , Kansas , where he is training as a sniper. He will be deployed after he finishes training, and is anxious to serve his country by defending it.
